Bus Details:
We are lucky to have the Kiwanis Clubs of Division 12 sponsor buses to take us to Carowinds safely. For this, you will need to collect an extra $38.00 from each student to ride. This will include driver tip and a buffer for next year's buses. Your club advisor and Kiwanis Advisor will need to fill out just ONE form to order the buses, VERY important, so we know how many are going. Email Elise Thrash, with Cary Kiwanis Club if you have questions!
You will meet the assigned charter bus for your school at:
_______ Walmart, 3151 Apex Peakway, Apex 27502
_______ Wake Forest High School Bus Loop, downtown Wake Forest. Buses at
213 Rock Springs Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587 - drop off and park in rear of school student lot ONLY - make sure students know this
_______ Wells Fargo Advisors Office, 3105 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh 27612213 Rock Springs Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587 - drop off and park in rear of school student lot ONLY - make sure students know this
We take attendance and let each bus driver know when we're ready to go. Meet at 5:50-6 AM to take attendance and roll, the drive takes 2:45.
Upon arrival at Carowinds, club advisors will get the shirt and entry tickets for their students to pass out. Students should be prepared to put the Fall Rally Day T-shirt over their clothes. If it is raining, leave your students on the bus for this step, bringing the tickets back to the bus to distribute.
Students will need cash for lunch and dinner in the park. The should eat dinner before going to the bus as park closes at 5:30. The bus will meet at 5:45 to exit Carowinds, we will not plan to stop so we can return to your parking lot around 8:45 PM.
